Overview

 

Payroll/Benefits Specialist responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and responsive employee support. This role serves as a key divisional point of contact for payroll and benefits questions, actively engaged with local management and corporate partners to administer company policies and deliver a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities (Text Only)

-  Accurately perform payroll processing and related duties for weekly and monthly paycheck distribution
-  Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
-  Administer company HIPAA privacy and security policies
-  Support open enrollment and employee benefits education
-  Coordinate job postings and monitor applicant status to support efficient recruiting workflows
-  Guide new hires through onboarding and orientation
-  Regularly engage with employees on payroll/benefits-related questions
-  Other duties as assigned         

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associates/BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  •  2-5+ years’ experience in payroll processing and/or benefits administration
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Self-starter with ability to multi-task
  •  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

 

Preferred:

  • Experience working with payroll/applicant tracking systems (UKG, iCIMS, etc.)
  •  Professional payroll/HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)
