SDI Bio Carbon Solutions is seeking innovative Shift Millwright Candidates! This facility is a GREENFIELD start up facility (located in Columbus, MS) that will utilize an innovative and proven technology from our JV partner Aymium to convert Biomass into a direct carbon replacement suitable for steel making. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to one of our 4 rotating crews and will be responsible for mechanical repairs and maintenance needs on that crew’s shift. - Rotating shift work including nights, weekends, and emergency call-ins. Other schedules may be required to support construction and commissioning.
- Maintain and repair equipment critical to the Biocarbon Plant operation.
- Conduct routine maintenance walk throughs as prescribed by maintenance supervisor.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Support operations/maintenance work groups to maintain a safe workplace, increase production, and minimize downtime.
- Interface with computer-based maintenance systems.

Experience/Requirements:

 

Required:

• Excellent safety practices and mindset.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with welding and fabrication, pneumatics, lubrication systems, pumps, power transmission equipment, equipment setting and alignment, etc.
• Fundamental understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, force/power transmission.
• Fundamental understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry, etc).
• Willingness to work planned and unplanned OT to support outage needs.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Proven self-starter; ability to stay productive without direct supervision.

 

Preferred:

• Strong safety culture.
• Experience working as a millwright/mechanic in an industrial plant.
• Desire to be a key part of a greenfield construction.
